People And Causes Team Exergy Believes In:
Community Outreach
As a community outreach in Team Exergy's hometown of Boise, Idaho, squad members visit the local children's hospital throughout the year. The riders and staff share racing adventures and spread liquid joy with the Human Powered Smoothie Machine. Although the meetings are casual in nature these visits have great impact on riders as well as patients, and we believe this helps to build high character in our racers and our community. Team Exergy strongman Quinn Keogh, pictured here at a recent visit, overcame his own life-threatening battle with cancer. Another team member, Chris Hong, is a pre-medicine student who hopes to use these experiences to assist his treatment practices in his next career.

Prohelmet.org
At ProHelmet.org, we're raising public awareness in Idaho about the importance and value of wearing a helmet when engaging in high-risk sports. Our state (Idaho) has one of the lowest rates of helmet use in the United States. We hope to change that. Take the pledge to wear a helmet to protect your brain.

Look! Save A Life
The mission of Look! Save a Life is to save lives. No cyclist wants to be hit by a car and no driver truly wants to hit a cyclist, let alone kill someone. We recognize that safety is everyone’s responsibility. We know that many people riding bikes do not understand or choose not to obey the laws regarding use of public roads. We know as well that many drivers are unaware of the same rules. By promoting safety to cyclists and drivers, providing cycling safety education, and having an active part in the legislative process, we hope to build a better more respectful relationship between drivers and cyclists. From this mutual respect, greater awareness will grow, and that will save lives.
