The 2012 Felt FC
You don't have to wait for a magazine spy photo to get the lowdown on our steeds, we're happy to spill the beans ourselves. So, scroll down for a part by part geek-out of our 2012 road racing rigs.
Built around the 939 gram Felt FC frameset, our 2012 race bike is amazingly light, stiff, and durable. With the unbeatable performance of a lightweight UHC Performance carbon fiber frame, built to exacting standards through Felt’s Modular Monocoque Construction, the FC frameset is equally adept at sprints or long mountain climbs. The ControlTaper headtube and BB30 bottom bracket deliver a balance of stiff pedaling efficiency with precision handling in sprints, corners and twisting descents.
Vision Wheels
Our race bikes will be rolling on a full suite of Vision carbon tubular wheels. The mainstay wheel will be the Vision Trimax Carbon TC50, weighing in at 1490 grams it is perfect for all around road racing. When the road turns upwards we pull out the superlight TC24, weighing in at a feathery 1250 grams. For fast sprints and TTs, the Meteron 90 will give us maximum aero advantage.
FSA Cockpit
Our entire headset, stem, and handlebar cockpit will be built from the full line of FSA components. Riders will chose from the FSA K-Force New Ergo and K-Force Compact handlebar to dial in their fit. The K-Force light stem, at 149 grams, keeps things feathery for the climbs but offers the sprinters the stiffness they need at full gallop.
K-FORCE LIGHT BB30 Crankset
The K-Force Light features hollow monocoque composite crank arms mated to an oversized extruded AL7050 spindle. It offers unprecedented stiffness and light weight, tipping the scales at 612g. Machined ramps and pinning on the chain rings ensure laser sharp front shifting. The crankset is mated to the OS8200 Ceramic BB weighing in at 53 grams.
Speedplay Pedals
Perched at the end of the K-Force crank is the unrivaled Speedplay Zero pedal in our Team Green color scheme. No other pedal system comes close to offering the superior adjustability or cutting-edge performance features of the Zero.
fi'zi:k Saddles
When you spend as many hours on the bike as we do, you pay careful attention to saddle selection. We selected fi:zi'k saddles for their superior fit and comfort. Our riders chose between the Kurve, Arione, Antares, and Aliante. The saddles sit atop the FSA K-Force Light carbon seatpost.
TRP Brakes
Braking (however sparingly we actually do it) is handled by the new TRP 970 EQ brakes. The 970 EQ caliper is made from forged and CNC magnesium which keeps strength high but weight at an astounding 114 grams per caliper. We believe these qualify as the lightest vice grips the world has ever seen. The EQ allows for quick wheel changes and accepts today's wider rim profiles with ease.
Microshift
One of the most common questions we get is: "What is that groupset you are running?". We're glad you asked. Our shifting duties are handled by the Microshift Arsis group. Rendered in aluminum and carbon fiber and finished in our team green, Microshift provides lightweight and dependable 10 speed shifting for our second year running. We use FSA team issue chains for smooth shifts and zero measurable chain stretch.
K-Edge
No sane person would race a bike this nice and not add a bit of extra insurance in the form of a K-Edge. The K-Edge uses standard derailleur mounting points to prevent dropped chains during critical shifts. We've used them since the beginning, and we swear by them. You may also see K-Edge Go Pro mounts on our bikes from time to time, ensuring a more sturdy (and good looking) mount than OEM provides.
Kenda Tires

It is hard to believe that all of the technology listed above and its engine, the rider, depend on a few inches of rubber maintaining proper contact with the road. This is why we only race and train on Kenda tires. The Volare is our fast rolling racing tubular, and the Kountach is our training clincher that is so supple some people think it's a tubular as well.
Feedback Sports
How do we make sure all of this hardware is running smoothly? We wrench and store our bikes on Feedback Sports full line of stands and mounts. Feedback's attention to detail and innovative fixtures free up our mechanics to worry about the most important details... the bikes themselves.
