2011 Team Exergy sponsor camp
Team Exergy kicked off 2011 with a gathering of all the players that it takes to launch a modern pro cycling team. Riders, management, sponsors, and support staff converged on the Exergy hometown of Boise, Idaho for four days of orientation, education, and team bonding.
During the first few days, the service course was a hub of activity as new gear was unpacked and bikes began to be assembled. For many of the riders this was the first chance for them to inspect and handle the bikes and gear that will no doubt take them to many victories during the 2011 campaign.

The TRP R970SL will help with the breaking duties, on the rare occasion that the racers find the need to slow down
On the second night of the camp, the racers and staff headed out for a little low-stress, high-intensity bonding at the local go-cart motor speedway. It was a time to forget about bikes for a moment and ruthlessly t-bone teammates without reservation. As is usual, the climbers had the power to weight advantage, but the teams sprinters countered with their instincts that have been finely honed over countless bunch sprints.
On Saturday the sponsors each presented their product lines to the staff and racers, and explained the attributes that made them stand out from the crowd.
Tom Coleman of WN Precision Fitting is making sure each racer is exactly fit to his Felt F1SL this season. He spoke to the racers about the dialogue that is required between the racer and the fitter in order to ascertain what is working and what can be tweaked to maximize every area of potential performance.
This year the team will be shifting and breaking with the help of Power Cordz synthetic cable system. The Power Cordz crew reviewed the R&D and technology that has allowed them to develop a cable and housing system that outperforms steel cables in both weight and longevity.
Aside from the tech demos, the team spent time locking down rider and group photography with the help of Hey Buckshot. Rider bios and press information were also rounded up. Its not all gear and tech at Sponsor Camp, there is a also a lot of homework and paperwork that needs to be worked through.

At the end of the day, the team piled into the gleaming new caravan that will transport them around the country in 2011. Keep an eye out for them on the road and at over 40 races this year alone.
